Tamara is an accomplished civil rights trial attorney, a retired Senior Executive in the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security and Health & Human Services, and a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with over 39 years of legal, policy and leadership experience.  She has worked tirelessly to advance civil liberties in multiple sectors — federal, state, local, military, and private.

Tamara has won compensation and saved jobs for scores of federal and private sector employees as a partner at MillerMascia, provided national-level leadership at the Transportation Security Administration and Health & Human Services as the Director and Deputy Director for Civil Rights, and prosecuted criminal and civil right cases as a Deputy Chief and JAG officer for the Department of Justice and U.S. military. She has received several Senior Executive Service performance awards and the TSA Gold Award for Leadership.
